Research at UniBa always aims to increase its productivity by seeking and using internal and external sources of funding, using every national and international opportunity for support. It aims:

• Creation of new mechanisms to increase success in applications for various projects;
• Diversification of research funds as its own, other private, national and international funds;
• Increase of the knowledge mobilized by applied research and possibly its commercialization, as another source of funding;
• Increase of social impact through the communication of research results in various channels and stakeholders;
• Increase of the involvement of students and academics in relevant projects with different applications.

For these purposes, various tools and instruments are used, such as national and international projects, consultancy, student projects, start-ups, spin-outs, etc.
