Universiteti Barleti (www.umb.edu.al), Instituti i Kërkimit dhe Zhvillimit Barleti (BIRD) (www.bird.al) dhe Grupi Mjekësor Barleti (www.bmg.al) kanë nënshkruar zyrtarisht një Memorandum Mirëkuptimi (MeM) me Qendrën Komunitare EIT në Shqipëri (https://eit-ris.eu/albania/), duke shënuar një hap të rëndësishëm përpara në nxitjen e inovacionit, arsimit dhe sipërmarrjes në sektorët e shëndetësisë dhe kërkimit në Shqipëri.

Ky bashkëpunim synon të forcojë lidhjet midis akademisë, kërkimit dhe biznesit duke lidhur ekosistemin multidisiplinar të Barletit me komunitetin më të gjerë evropian të inovacionit të mbështetur nga Instituti Evropian i Inovacionit dhe Teknologjisë (EIT). Përmes këtij partneriteti, institucionet do të punojnë së bashku për të:

• Promovuar aktivitete të përbashkëta kërkimore dhe inovative
• Bashkë-krijuar programe arsimore dhe sipërmarrëse
• Lehtësuar aksesin në mundësitë e EIT, duke përfshirë financimin, trajnimin dhe rrjetet pan-evropiane
• Mbështetur zhvillimin dhe komercializimin e zgjidhjeve të kujdesit shëndetësor dhe shëndetit dixhital

Memorandumi i Mirëkuptimit përforcon misionin e Barletit për të qenë në ballë të transferimit të njohurive, kërkimit të aplikuar dhe zhvillimit rajonal, duke fuqizuar njëkohësisht gjeneratën e ardhshme të inovatorëve në Shqipëri dhe Ballkanin Perëndimor.

Ky partneritet hap rrugë të reja për bashkëpunim në fushat strategjike të fokusit të EIT, veçanërisht shëndetësinë, transformimin dixhital dhe arsimin — duke siguruar rolin e vazhdueshëm të Barletit si një lider kombëtar në inovacion dhe një kontribues proaktiv në ekonominë e bazuar në njohuri të Evropës.

Barleti University (www.umb.edu.al), the Barleti Institute of Research and Development (BIRD) (www.bird.al), and Barleti Medical Group (www.bmg.al) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the EIT Community Hub Albania (https://eit-ris.eu/albania/), marking a significant step forward in fostering innovation, education, and entrepreneurship in Albania’s health and research sectors.

This collaboration aims to strengthen the ties between academia, research, and business by connecting Barleti’s multidisciplinary ecosystem with the wider European innovation community supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Through this partnership, the institutions will work together to:

• Promote joint research and innovation activities
• Co-create educational and entrepreneurial programs
• Facilitate access to EIT opportunities, including funding, training, and pan-European networks
• Support the development and commercialization of healthcare and digital health solutions

The MoU reinforces Barleti’s mission to be at the forefront of knowledge transfer, applied research, and regional development, while empowering the next generation of innovators in Albania and the Western Balkans.

This partnership opens new pathways for collaboration under the EIT’s strategic focus areas, especially health, digital transformation, and education — ensuring Barleti’s continued role as a national leader in innovation and a proactive contributor to Europe’s knowledge-based economy.
